The Ballina Beach Resort is Ballina's only beachside accommodation and lies just 200 m from the golden sands of Lighthouse beach. Located away from the CBD the resort is set in 3 acres of lush sub tropical gardens. Stroll south along the beach to the north wall of the Richmond River or take the path up to the Lighthouse lookout where you will find one of Australia's premier whale watching locations.

The town of Ballina is located on the far north coast of New South Wales just 20 mins south of Byron Bay. Surrounded by fabulous lush hinterland, the far north coast is NSW's premier holiday destination. Mt Warning National Park is just 40 mins to the north with Lismore 30 mins inland to the west. South of Ballina you will find many unspoiled small towns with glorious uninterrupted beaches all the way to the Clarence River.

Getting There

Ballina Byron Airport has regular flights from Sydney with Virgin Blue, Jet Star and Regional Express. To the North, Coolangatta Airport is under an hour away and for International guests Brisbane International Airport is just 2 hours drive on the main Pacific Highway.

Guests arriving by air at Ballina Byron Airport can use a local taxi for the short trip to the resort.Guests arriving by road from the South should drive through the main Ballina CBD on River Street and continue out over Missingham Bridge. Turn at the first right after the Shaw's Bay Hotel onto Compton Drive following the road toward the beach until you arrive at the Resort on your right.

Travelling on the Highway from the North we suggest that you drive straight through the first roundabout when arriving in Ballina. Go straight on at the next roundabout and then left at the third roundabout following signs for East Ballina. Cross Missingham Bridge and turn at the first right after the Shaw's Bay Hotel onto Compton Drive following the road toward the beach until you arrive at the Resort on your right.
